Decision making for 18 and under

Question: "Do you think people under the age of 18 are mature enough to make life-or-death decisions on their own?"

Personally, I think they are. I mean, if you think about it, that question is pretty stereotypical. when people think of teenagers they think of the juvenile kids with piercings and ripped jeans. What has the world become? I know I sound like some old lady but, still. Teenagers, (some of us anyways) are more mature than what most others think. Who ever 'they' are. We can make decisions on our own. We're big kids! And besides, if it's us that make the decisions, we're that ones that take the path we choose. No matter how serious the decision, we all take time to think about it. I've seen commercials about people who want to join the military. This teenager and his mom were sitting at a table talking about joining the military. Then the screen faded out and it said: 'talk about it. It's an important decision' Everyone has reasons to make decisions, no matter what the age. So why does everybody make a big deal out of teenagers and making decisions? Sure, teenagers can make bad choices now and then, but mistakes help you learn. It's better to make mistakes at a younger age than later on in life.
