You and Me baby we ain't nothin' but mammals...

So what's up with animals? Does anyone else sit and wonder why there are so many different types of animals out there? (Or is that just me having way too much free time?) Because if you think about it, there are many species of animals all around the world. Some more rare than others. Let's talk about animals!

First off, there are the birds. Birds are warm-blooded, egg-laying, creatures with wings. I'll list a few that come to mind: Penguins, Crows, Pigeons, Eagles, Tucans, Chickens, Pecocks, Humming birds, Jays, Robins, Woodpeckers, Angry birds, Owls, Ducks, Geese, Turkey, Seagulls, Hawks, Pelicans, ect; Nice and roasted birds... nom nom nom. What's not to like? Just joshin'! This isn't the cooking channel. (Sorry to dissapoint). But back to birds; They have been around since the beginning of time. What was the first bird?: Pterodactyls! (Of course this is correct. Everything is factual here... content may vary)
Next is sea animals! I really like sea animals. There are more animals in the oceans than in the air and ground combined. To name a few, there are: Sharks, Starfish, Whales, Octopi, Squid, Seals, Turtles, Dolphins, Rays, SpongeBob, ect; Life is said to have been made from within the ocean. Edvanced organisms that grew and perfected itself to adapt to living on Earth.
Now we come to the land animals. We can name many land animals because we see and hear about them countless times. Why are there so many animals? Dogs, Gorillas, Cats, Rabbits, Mice, Bears, Wolves, Hippos, Giraffes, Elephants, Tigers, Lions, Cows, Zebras, Foxes, Pigs, Llamas, Alpacas, ect;
Maybe you know some ideas about how there came to be many species of animals. Please inform me!
P.S. What would a Platypus be catagorized as?

  1. You have really good ideas, and it's really good how you speak to the people that are reading your blog.

  2. Not trying to be weird, but your title it a chorus of an inappropriate song. It's good song though. But I like how you stay on topic, and while the reader is reading, you add a few jokes and things in to make them want to read more. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

  3. It's a mammal. And in-a-matter-of-fact, it's suprisingly the only mammal that lays eggs instead of live birth. The platypus, found only in Australia is one of the five mammal species of that lay eggs instead of giving birth to live young. The other egg-laying mammals are four species of echidna. The reason that odd, egg-laying mammals still exist today may be because their ancestors took to the water, scientists now suggest.
